An evergreen eco-garden featuring pine trees, quiet ponds and an array of beautiful flora, the Pine Tree Garden offers travelers an oasis of calm and tranquility permeated with the refreshing scent of pine. Mother Nature’s seasonal variations are on full display, with daffodil and azalea during spring and pampas grass in autumn. Visitors can also take in diverse cultural performances and events that are held all year-round at the Millennium Hall.

The Cactus Garden features an indoor collection of exotic cactus plants of uncommon beauty and rarely seen elsewhere in Korea, with a variety of new concepts introduced each year.

There are more than 200 types or “genera” of cactus, and although there are different approaches to their taxonomical classification, all are members of the succulent plant family, the Cactaceae. Thanks to their high water-retention ability, cacti can survive in hot, arid areas for long periods. Instead of leaves, spines grow from areoles which form the stalk of cacti. The shapes of the stalks vary from tube- and bell-to wheel-shaped, and are unlike any other plants.

he Water Gardens greet visitors with the soothing sounds of running water, while also contributing to the refreshment and humidification inside the Passenger Terminal.

There are currently five Water Gardens situated throughout the Welcoming Hall on the Arrival Floor (1F) of the Passenger Terminal.

Four Gracious Plants Garden

Consisting of bamboo, plum, orchid, and chrysanthemum, the “Four Gracious Plants” Gardens are located at two outdoor areas in the East & West wings.

Here one can view lush green bamboo groves all seasons of the year, and blossoming plum trees that herald the beginning of spring, while Cymbidium virescens (Spring Flower), Ajuga spectabilis, and Farfugium japonicum (Green Leopard Plant) slowly come into bloom. The gardens also feature a seasonal panorama of wildflowers.
