Incheon Airport Holds ‘One Family Festival’ for its Staff and Workers
Staff and Workers at the Airport Came Together to Celebrate Winning the ASQ Awards for the Seventh Consecutive Year…Offering Various Events including a Sports Competition and a Charity Bazaar
The ‘One Family Festival’, which was prepared by the Airport in celebration of its winning the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Award for the seventh year in a row successfully ended at the Airport’s Plaza Lawn on June 5.
Inspired by the slogan of ‘Opening a New Decade to Write a New Page in History with Passion’, the Festival consisted of various events such as an award ceremony, a Partners Day celebration, a charity bazaar, a sports competition and a talent contest, with over ten thousand resident staff from the Airport invited to participate.
During the morning of the Festival, government officials including Minister Kwon Do-youp of the Ministry of Land, Transport, and Maritime Affairs and the heads of resident agencies at the Airport along with over 2,000 staff celebrated the Airport’s recent winning of the ASQ Awards for the seventh time, followed by a resolution on performance for integrity and ethical management. Also, several staff won awards from the Airport and the Korean President in recognition of their contribution. ‘Montant’, a multicultural choir sponsored by the Airport performed a special concert to wrap up the morning programs.
The afternoon programs included an Olympic Game themed amateur sports competition with more than 6,000 staff and workers participating from the Airport and its partners in honor of Partners Day reiterating mutual growth and symbiotic cooperation. Winners were selected after passing through heated preliminaries in eight games including football and baseball.
Notably, a charity bazaar was open in places during the events to sell goods donated by Airport staff and workers with all of the proceeds being sent to airport workers in need and the Beautiful Store, a charity organization.
In the evening, a talent contest ‘Super Star - I’ was held featuring seventeen teams who made their way to the finals through fierce competition among 35,000 Airport staff and workers. And the festival was brought to a close with a special performance to inspire staff towards creating a better future.
