Quarantine Inspection guidelines
The Quarantine Inspection Station issues inspections and certificates for foreign
travelers, animals, and plants.
Depending on the destination country, you might be required to submit an inspection certificate, so please
check ahead of time.
You must complete the quarantine inspection related procedure before boarding
procedure to avoid any delays in boarding.
Before leaving the country with a companion animal, please check with the destination
country’s animal quarantine inspection agency or its embassy in Korea as countries vary in required
documents (health certificate, proof of rabies and other vaccination, etc.) and which animals are allowed or
banned from entry.
Please be sure with enquire with appropriate agencies especially if you are
taking a dog or a cat to Japan, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, or European Union countries.
Requirements for animal inspection
On the day of departure, bring your companion animal and required documents (health
certificate, proof of rabies vaccine, rabies test result, etc.) to request inspection at the Animal and Plant
Quarantine Inspection Agency Inspection Room. You will be issued a certificate of inspection if there are no
