RE100,
a Promise for the Earth
As a global leader in the sustainable airport, Incheon Airport takes on the challenge to achieve a 100% transition to renewable energies.
Achieving low-carbon, sustainable airport through 100% transition to renewable energies by 2040,
thus advancing from energy-consuming to energy-independent airport
As a global leader in the sustainable airport, Incheon Airport takes on the challenge to achieve a 100% transition to renewable energies.
Incheon Airport was the first to
join RE100 among approximately 2,500 airports in Asia.
We are leading the trend of renewable energy
use in the global airport ecosystem.
Incheon Airport is advancing to an energy-zero airport through the introduction of renewable power generation facilities and green power purchase.

Incheon Airport is making infrastructure improvements to establish a bio-jet fuel supply system, which is emerging as a carbon emission reduction measure for the aviation industry.
※ Bio-jet fuel: Jet fuel manufactured by processing plant sources or waste cooking oil
Incheon Airport 's operating system contributes to reducing carbon emissions by minimizing unnecessary aircraft movement, supplying ground power until immediately before takeoff, and thus decreasing unnecessary fuel consumption by aircraft.
Incheon Airport improves the quality of life of residents on Yeongjongdo Island and eliminates green blind spots by implementing the "5 Green Projects." Each project aims to improve the ecological environment in the airport area.
