When you use Incheon Airport to travel, you have to check the number of terminal that you need to go. 
It is to avoid the confusion regarding parking or transiting between terminals. 
Since Terminal 1 and terminal 2 of Incheon Airport are quite far away, you have to take any transportation to move between them. 

For passengers who are going to visit Incheon Airport, we would like to introduce the newly updated methods to transit between terminals of 2024! 

 

1. ​Free shuttle bus

✅ Boarding location: Exit 8, 3rd floor (Terminal 1), Exit between 6 and 7, 3rd floor (Terminal 2) 
 


Incheon Airport operates a free shuttle bus between terminals for convenience of passenger.
If you are heading to Terminal 2, you can take the shuttle bus at Exit 8, 3rd floor of Terminal 1. 
On the other hand, if you are heading to Terminal 1, please board at Exit between 6 and 7, 3rd floor of Terminal 2. 

● Route

The circular bus can travel between terminals by stopping at only one stop at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
Please refer to the image below for a detailed route map.

● Timetable

From February 2024, the circular bus operates for a total of 19 hours from 5:00 to 24:00 at regular intervals of approximately 12 minutes.
The timetable is subject to change, so please check it on the Incheon Airport website.


2. Airport Railroad

✅ Location: B1, Transportation Center, Terminal 1 and 2


 

The airport railroad can take you to Terminal 2 From Terminal 1 by only one stop!
This is a charged transportation method, which is available at the transportation center on the first basement floor of Incheon Airport.

For those who is closer to the basement than the ground floor, it would be good to use the underground airport railroad. 😊


3. ​Shuttle Train

✅ Location: Arrival Floor, B1

The last transportation facility we are going to introduce is the shuttle train.
Unlike the two methods above, the shuttle train allows you to move between terminals by going through the boarding area.
To do so, you need to follow the steps below. 

[Terminal 1] Arrival floor (3F) ▶ Board the shuttle train ▶ Arrive at the boarding area ▶ Transfer to the shuttle train ▶ Arrive at Terminal 2
The Shuttle train to Terminal 1 is only for transfer passengers, so it would be helpful for transfer passengers. 
For reference, if you are transferring, just follow the green transfer signs to find the shuttle train! 

[Terminal 2] Arrival gate ▶ Take the shuttle train ▶ Arrive at the boarding gate ▶ Transfer to the shuttle train ▶ Arrive at Terminal 1


Incheon Airport measured the journey time depending on each transportation methods to help passengers to make a decision. 😊
This experiment included free shuttle buses, airport railroads, and taxis, but not the shuttle train that must pass through the boarding gate.
