1. Portable Fan



Portable fans normally require USB charging. This means that they contain an internal battery, which is usually a lithium-ion battery.
However, lithium batteries are sensitive to impact and pose risks of overheating, ignition, or explosion.
Due to these risks, the portable fans must be carried in the cabin and cannot be checked in.

Similarly, power banks containing lithium-ion batteries can be brought on board.
However, the allowance for the power banks varies by its battery capacity, and there are limits on the number you can bring.

According to the Aviation Security 365 website, the power banks with a capacity of 100Wh or less are allowed up to 5 per person in the cabin.
If you have 6 or more, you need to be approved by an airline you use.
 
Many people use power banks with capacities between 10,000mAh and 20,000mAh, which generally do not exceed 100Wh and can be brought on board.
